Flight heritage. Told so procurement reads it.

APP/ART builds the positioning, identity and website for space and aerospace companies: satellites, launch, earth observation, propulsion, in-orbit services, drones and eVTOL. This page lists four things an agency or a prime checks before a first contract, and what your site has to show for each.

THE CHECKS ARE THEIRS · THE ORDER IS OURS
  1. CHECK 01 OF 04

    The supplier list.

Bidding on ESA work starts with registration on its List of Potential Suppliers. It is free, it is mandatory, and it is renewed every year.

    ON YOUR SITE

Say which agencies and primes you are registered with, and since when.

  2. CHECK 02 OF 04

    The quality system.

The 9100 series is the aerospace quality standard. Buyers look a supplier up in OASIS, the database of certified companies kept by the aerospace quality group IAQG.

Name the certificate, the body that issued it and the date. If you are not certified yet, say what you work to.

  3. CHECK 03 OF 04

    The readiness level.

NASA's scale runs from 1 to 9. Level 6 is a working prototype. Levels 7 to 9 need space: a demonstration in space, flight qualification, a mission flown.

Put the level beside each product, with the test or flight that earned it and the date.

  4. CHECK 04 OF 04

    The verification record.

The European standard for verification expects four documents behind a claim: a verification plan, a verification control document, a test report and a review-of-design report.

List the tests you have passed and name the standard each was run to.

FAQS

What space founders ask.

NOT ANSWERED HERE?

tony@appart.gi

The level you have reached and the test behind it. NASA's scale has nine levels and only the last three need space. A level 6 claim with a dated test report is evidence.

We found no published list of job titles. The sources name functions: agency procurement, the people who select and monitor suppliers, the customer's verification reviewers and investors' technical advisers.

Partly. One adviser that sells technical due diligence to venture and private equity firms describes three parts: technical risk, the feasibility of the development roadmap and a market assessment.

We work from published material and from what you clear for release. Tell us what is controlled before the first session and it stays out of the files.
